Streamside Necessities
Elk River has all the necessities for your
West Virginia Fly Fishing experience including
Orvis Waders, boots,
rods, float tubes, tippet and flies. If you’re
staying with us for one of our schools, your
necessities are included in the price. For
anglers who prefer to fish on their own, all
necessities are available for purchase or
rental. We also carry the Trout Unlimited Guide
to the Catch and Release Streams of West
Virginia, one of the most comprehensive WV
Fly Fishing Guides
available for our region.

Charlie Heartwell - Charlie's Charmers
Elk River is proud to announce that our fly shop
will be carrying Charlie's Charmers. Charlie has
been tying flies for over 45 years and is just
about the most famous tier in the mid-Atlantic.
Charlie has worked for the WV DNR for 30 years
and is recently retired to devote his later
years to tying again. In his heyday, Charlie
provided flies for Orvis, Dan Baileys, and many
more before production went offshore in the
